My family & I enjoyed a beautiful hike at Rainbow Lake on Labor Day.  This was the first time we've been able to do this as a family and have all 3 kids do the entire hike on their own.  That in itself is quite the accomplishment.  My kids are 7, 5 and 3.  The 7 and 5 year old did great and surprisingly my 3 year old (or should I say threenager) did as well.  Although you can see from the first shot of her that it sure didn't look like the hike was going to start off well.  I was just trying to be a kind mom and not allow her to fall head first down a rocky hill and asked her to walk around it to the start of the trail.  She wasn't happy with me about that...can you tell?  Thankfully once we got started on the trail her mood quickly changed and she was happy again.
